We had an excellent experience with SST…\r\nWe had an excellent experience with SST Performance. We had to take our nine year old Mazda Tribute back to the dealership because of a recall. As expected, they performed the recall work then (Surprise! Surprise!), found that we needed a $600+ repair to a leaky seal on our rear axle. We opted for a second opinion. We took the car to a local Honesdale mechanic who confirmed that we had a leak, but estimated the repair at closer to $300. In the end, he was unable to do the repair, but recommended Sal at SST Performance, “a good guy” and “a good mechanic”.\r\n\r\nWe got to SST late Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend. Sal set us up with the earliest appointment on Tuesday for an evaluation and ordered the part that day. By Thursday, we had the Tribute back at 1/3 the cost estimated by the dealership. Additionally, Sal went way above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that we had transportation to get the car to the shop and back without a second car. He’s capable, friendly, flexible and helpful…a real professional.\r\n\r\nOn top of that, as a former Marine, he and his wife also coordinate the local chapter of Toys for Tots. Bravo! We’ll definitely be back and recommend you give SST a try.
